Rear Light Up Ford Emblem Installation:

1, Lower tailgate and remove the eight T-30 screws from the access cover. Remove access cover.

2, Through this area of the tailgate you can gain access to the back of the emblem.

3, Pry on the highlighted clips while pulling out on the emblem from the outside. BE CAREFUL NOT DAMAGE THE PAINT OR SHEET METAL OF THE TAILGATE.

4, Install threaded rods and tighten by hand. Install the emblem on the tailgate using provided flange nuts. BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN
FASTENERS.

5,Remove (2) 8mm bolts from driver’s tail lamp. Pull the tail lamp towards the rear bumper to disengage clips that secure it.

6, Feed LED emblem wires to driver’s tail lamp harness. Follow existing harness coming out of tailgate. Route the wire under the vehicle, behind
the bumper, and up into the tail lamp cavity. Protect the wire with split loom or abrasion resistant sleeving.

7, Using provided ScotchLoks, splice the wires into tail lamp harness. Connect the light up ford emblem red wire to the blue gray wire, and the emblem black wire to the black yellow wire.

8, Test the emblem. It is tied to the running lamps and should be on when the Daytime Running Lamps or head lights are on. Zip-tie wires into place, making sure the wire is protected from pinchpoints and sharp edges.
